Mass. man claims NJ is trying to steal his lotto winnings: lawsuit

Hey — you never know.

A Massachusetts man is suing New Jersey authorities, claiming they’re trying to steal his lottery jackpot “by denying its existence.”

Robert Day of Carver, Mass., claims he won a lottery in the Garden State “in the early 2000s” and, on the advice of New Jersey State Police, invested the winnings in state bonds, according to a lawsuit he filed in Manhattan federal court.

Police at the time “engaged in collusionary activities with crooked politicians to hatch a sceme [sic] to steal money that I won in the lottery,” he writes in court papers.

Acting as his own lawyer, Day says there’s plenty of blame to go around, naming former — or fictitious — pols like Rudy Giuliani, Mario Cuomo Jr. and Mario Cuomo III.

Day, representing himself, wants his windfall — he doesn’t detail the amount — put into the federal reserve “under the supervision of the US Marshalls [sic].”

“I know that the president of United States, Barack Obama knows and dislikes the bad parts of this case,” Day writes.

The whole situation “cause a lot of stress and made me a nervous wreck,” Day claims.
