Brad Pitt: 50 and still sizzling

Brad Pitt is so old, he qualifies for AARP membership. That’s right, the Hollywood hunk turns the ripe old age of 50 on Wednesday. The father of six and partner of Angelina Jolie has led quite a storied life thus far — from collecting Oscar nominations to trying out every hairstyle imaginable. Here, we look back on his half-century of hotness.

Newbie Brad

A previously unknown actor from Missouri, Pitt tagged along with Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis in the 1991 buddy flick “Thelma and Louise.” This cinematic romp launched his career and status as Tinseltown’s hottest hunk.

Fabio Brad

In 1995, Pitt and his flowing locks starred in the drama “Legends of the Fall.” His performance earned him an Oscar nomination, but the Academy should have made a special award for his luscious hair and renamed the movie “Legend of the Locks.”

Matching Brad

What to do when you’re one half of Hollywood’s most genetically gifted couple? You get matching dye jobs and cuts, of course. Here he is with then-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow in 1997.

Bloody Brad

The first rule of “Fight Club” should be “Let’s talk about Brad Pitt’s abs.” The violent 1999 flick showcased the pretty boy’s rougher, darker side — revealing his underbelly in more than one way.

Golden Brad

When Pitt married Jennifer Aniston in 2000, the perpetually tan, blond duo were Hollywood’s “It” couple. Movie star Pitt even appeared on Aniston’s hit sitcom, “Friends.” This iconic snap from the 2004 Emmy Awards captures their seemingly perfect union.

Duplicitous Brad

When Pitt and Aniston announced in 2005 they were separating, it shocked celeb-watchers who thought they were the perfect couple. The divorce came on the tail of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” during which it was rumored Pitt got too friendly with co-star Angelina Jolie. They became a couple soon thereafter and have remained together ever since.

Bromance Brad

While Pitt has moved on from some of his better halves, he’s remained a loyal buddy to George Clooney. The dapper duo (pictured here in 2007 at the “Ocean’s Thirteen” premiere) have one of show business’ longest-lasting relationships.

Daddy Brad

When Pitt hooked up with Jolie, he adopted two of her kids (Maddox and Zahara), and the couple went on to add their own. At current count, there are six little Pitts wandering this earth. He once said, “Fatherhood is the best thing I ever did.”

Billy goat Brad

If there’s one look the hunk really flunked, it’s this scraggly Brillo pad masquerading as a beard. He told The Sun in 2010 that he let it grow out of sheer boredom. Thankfully, Pitt has since mustered up the motivation to trim the unflattering facial hair.

Leg candy Brad

Pitt’s partner Jolie managed to steal the limelight from her beau at last year’s Academy Awards, when she let her leg pop out on the red carpet. Pitt looks just as amused as the rest of the world. Or maybe it’s just called being content.
