Cops are searching for a driver who fled after mowing down a 35-year-old pedestrian in Woodhaven.
Police believe Yunior Antonio Perez Rodriguez was struck by a white sedan as he crossed Woodhaven Boulevard at Jamaica Avenue at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday.

He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he died. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.


A scammer used a stolen debit card to deposit a bogus check into the victim’s account and then tried to withdraw the money in Astoria, cops said.
The suspect used a woman’s card at a Chase ATM on Queens Plaza North at around 7:15 p.m. July 23, police said.

The thief put a fraudulent check for $942.83 into the account, then tried to withdraw money but failed to get any, according to cops.

The crook is believed to be in his 20s and was seen on surveillance video wearing a white V-neck T-shirt and a black baseball cap.

The Bronx

A city worker spent the night in police custody ­after getting into a pissing match with cops over his job — locking up public restrooms in Bedford Park, sources said.

Kenneth Cheek, 48, was closing up the facilities at Poe Park — home to writer Edgar Allan Poe’s cottage — at around 11 p.m. Nov. 30 when cops stopped and questioned him, park sources said.

Cheek explained that he was doing his job and soon began arguing with the officers, who were patrolling the area after residents complained about criminal activity there, the source added.

Cops collared Cheek and charged him with obstruction of governmental administration.

Brooklyn

A group of dolled-up, costumed women assaulted two Long Island University students in Brooklyn Heights after Halloween, cops said.

The female victims, ages 23 and 19, were at the DeKalb Avenue subway station near Flatbush Avenue at around 12:20 a.m. Nov. 1.

They were approached by 20 people, police said.

Seven of the thugs were seen on video surveillance footage.
One of the attackers was dressed as a French maid, and another wore a Snow White costume.

They were seen on video exiting the subway station after the attack.

The two victims were treated at their university’s clinic and later went to area hospitals for further evaluation.

Police do not believe the attackers knew the duo.


A 23-year-old man was fatally stabbed early Saturday in Williamsburg, cops said.

The victim was in front of Zocalo Mexican Restaurant near the Marcy Avenue subway station by Broadway when he was knifed multiple times just after 5 a.m., cops said.

The victim was found unconscious and unresponsive, and was pronounced dead at Woodhull Hospital, cops said.

No arrests have been made.
