This isn’t going to go over well in Boston.
Legendary baseball columnist and MLB Network analyst Peter Gammons quipped that Alex Rodriguez “is like the Marathon bombers” on ESPN Radio while talking about A-Rod’s shenanigans on Wednesday that included storming out of his arbitration hearing and railing against commissioner Bud Selig on WFAN.
“I’ve had people with the Yankees say this to me: He wants to blow up the world,” the 68-year-old Gammons said of Rodriguez, who is fighting a 211-game suspension handed down for alleged PED use.
“He’s like the marathon bombers. He’s going to get them.”
Gammons apologized on Twitter later in the day.
