Dolphins knew Incognito mocked staffer’s ethnicity: report

Richie Incognito’s alleged bullying didn’t stop at his teammates.

Incognito and another Dolphins player “mocked the ethnic background” of a team staffer, including dressing up in the garb from the staffer’s culture and saying players had sex with the employee’s wife, according to the National Football Post.

This behavior supposedly went on in front of other Dolphins staffers and was not curtailed by management, which could raise questions about how much the Dolphins knew about Incognito’s other actions in the workplace.

Incognito was suspended indefinitely by the Dolphins after fellow offensive lineman Jonathan Martin left the team amid revelations of a racially charged threatening voice mail and other disturbing incidents. Incognito filed a grievance against the Dolphins, saying the team has yet to provide evidence of his alleged actions.

The hearing is set for Thursday, though the Dolphins are trying to get it pushed back to not conflict with the independent investigation being run by Ted Wells, who was appointed by the NFL to look into the matter and met with Martin last week.
