Papa John’s owned by Peyton Manning robbed during Broncos game

How’s this for a slice of irony?

A Papa John’s pizza franchise owned by Peyton Manning was sacked during the Broncos’ prime-time win on Sunday night, according to CBSSports.com. A police spokesman said no one was harmed and the robbers only took cash from the register, thought it was not clear how much dough the bandits made off with.

Manning purchased 21 Papa John’s locations in the Denver area when he joined the Broncos last year, and also works as the chain’s commercial pitchman.

The quarterback/pie proprietor threw for 323 yards and a touchdown as the Broncos knocked off the previously unbeaten Chiefs, 27-17.
