One-handed boxer attacks cops at LaGuardia

What a knock out!

A one-handed boxer from Queens lost it at LaGuardia airport and assaulted three PA cops, cracking one of them in the jaw this morning, according to a PAPD spokesman.

Michael Costantino, 35, was at terminal C when he started shouting as he waited to board his West Jet flight to Toronto around 8:30 a.m., according to PA cops.

Someone at the terminal called the cops and things got violent.

Costantino punched one of the cops in the jaw, then bit another cop on the right hand and a third officer suffered a back injury trying to restrain the boxer.

When PAPD responded and decided he should undergo an EMS evaluation, Costantino started spitting and yelling at the officers, PA cops said.

Costantino was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital for an evaluation.

He has been charged with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, PA cops said.

Costantino made his professional boxing debut last year in Brooklyn and won against Nathan Ortiz at the Aviator Sports area.
