Smartphone takes bullet for owner, saves his life

Lots of cellphones have great features – but this one saves lives!

A smart phone stopped a bullet during a robbery in Florida, saving a man’s life, according to WFTV.

A  burglar whipped out a revolver and demanded a clerk hand over money from a safe inside Hess station in Winter Garden, Florida at 4:40 a.m. on Monday, the station reports.

The clerk tried to empty the safe but failed, so the gunman fired one round, striking him in the abdomen.

But instead of tearing through his flesh, the bullet hit the clerk’s HTC cellphone, which the worker had kept inside his shirt pocket.

“He didn’t realize he’d been shot,” Winter Garden Lt. Scott Allen told WFTV.

The clerk then took the cellphone out of his pocket and discovered a bullet hole in gadget. He suffered only minor injuries.
