TV stars of the past return to this week’s hottest shows

Rather than spending your Halloween trying to remember the names of your neighbors’ kids, why not try guessing how you know these guest stars:

“Once Upon a Time” (Sunday, 8 p.m., ABC)
You may not recognize the actress, but if you distribute any treats this Halloween, the Ariel getup will look plenty familiar to you. Portrayed by JoAnna Garcia Swisher, the Little Mermaid rescues Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin). Which is all well and good, but the big thing to watch this week is what Emma (Jennifer Morrison) is going to do after last week’s steamy lip lock with Hook (Colin O’Donoghue).

“Sleepy Hollow” (Monday, 9 p.m., Fox)
The creepiest cop show is already bringing on the sci-fi stars starting with former “Fringe” fave John Noble, aka Walter Bishop. He now holds vital clues about how Crane (Tom Mison) can cut his ties to the Headless Horseman. Let’s hope it doesn’t involve a bald albino.

“Blue Bloods” (Friday, 10 p.m., CBS)
A former member of Buffy’s and Angels’ gangs, Charisma Carpenter pops up on this family cop series, playing hot-headed Danny’s (Donnie Wahlberg) ex, whose fiancé is dealing drugs from his gym. Surely, the good detective will handle that news well.

“Castle” (Monday, 10 p.m., ABC)
The best police drama, “Justified,” doesn’t return to FX until next year, but you can still get your fix of its stars as Joelle Carter, a k a law-breaker Ava Crowder, plays the girlfriend of a wrongly convicted death row inmate in this fun series. And if that isn’t enough, check out “The Mindy Project” (Tuesday, 9:30 p.m., Fox) where Timothy Olyphant, aka law-enforcer Raylan Givens, plays a 40-something skateboarder.

“New Girl” (Tuesday, 9 p.m., Fox)
Want to see a familiar face you’re glad to see? Damon Wayans, Jr. returns to the loft to reconnect with his old roommates. You’ll remember that Wayans was the best part of this comedy’s pilot until his other comedy, “Happy Endings,” got renewed and he had to leave the series.

“Hawaii Five-0” (Friday, 9 p.m., CBS)
If you think Max’s (Masi Oka) girlfriend looks familiar, you’ll be moderately relieved to learn that you’ve recognized Bruce and Demi’s daughter, Rumer Willis, who returns to the tropical cop series. Also ditching his LA lawyer suits for a Hawaiian shirt is Corbin Bernsen, who plays a madman conducting experiments on humans.
