‘Good Wife’ celebrates 100th episode by rebuilding Sandy house

She’s good at being a wife — and a handyman, too.

Julianna Margulies and the cast of TV’s “The Good Wife” helped rebuild a Hurricane Sandy-wrecked home in the Rockaways to celebrate the show’s 100th episode.

Margulies joined her co-stars — including actors Chris Noth, Zach Grenier, and Josh Charles — who spent hours dry-walling the first floor of a small brick home belonging to a teacher who for months has been forced to live in damp and chilly conditions.

Cast members said they opted to celebrate the landmark episode, scheduled to air Dec. 1 on CBS, by doing some good in New York City, where the political drama has been shot for more than four years.

“The people of the Rockaways are still suffering from Superstorm Sandy,” Margulies told The Post. “There was no better way to celebrate our 100th episode.”

The actress rolled back her sleeves — but still managed to sport a fashionable pair of heels — while assisting in the fix-up, which took place on the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy.

The homeowner, Margaret McNulty, had recently retired from her teaching job when the storm struck, according to Todd Miner of Friends of Rockaway, which organized the relief event with the St. Bernard Project. McNulty, 56, was then forced to begin working again to pay for repairs FEMA wouldn’t cover, Miner said.

McNulty has been living in poor conditions for a year on the top floor of the home, which was less damaged than the first floor, Miner said. She was thrilled to learn she’d be getting help from anyone — let alone a bunch of TV stars.

“I just basically started jumping up and down and kissing them,” McNulty told CBS. “I just couldn’t believe it . . . Not just getting rebuilt, but by the cast and crew of The Good Wife. It’s just the icing on the cake.”

Organizers chose McNulty for the star-studded project after an assessment ranking her among the most in need.

“I really do believe that it’s a pay-it-forward. If you take care of your community they’ll take care of the next community, and hopefully it passes around the world,” Margulies told CBS.

McNulty did not return calls by press time.
