Crafty driver busted with license plate made from pizza box

Don’t try this at home.

A tricky driver in Massachusetts was busted using a pizza box to fashion a makeshift license plate in a DIY gone wrong.

The Hopkinton Police Department posted a photo on Facebook showing the “homemade” creation made from cardboard and markers.

“Here’s a little advice to those aspiring to make their own license plates…

1. Don’t.

2. But if you do, make sure not to use cardboard from a pizza box and magic markers,” the post read.

Social media users were quick to chime in on the comical crime in the town 36 miles west of Boston.

“At least use Photoshop and print it off or something,” Charles Vega commented on the image.

“If someone truly thinks they can get away with this, what else will they do?!” Julie Ford fumed.

“Sharpen up your parking skills while you’re at it,” Keith McCarthy instructed the driver.

The driver of the green Buick was charged with “operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle and attaching ‘fake home made’ [sic] plates,” according to the police department.
