Russia recalls ambassador at center of collusion allegations against Trump campaign: report

WASHINGTON – Russia is recalling its ambassador who has been the source of the collusion allegations against the Trump campaign, according to BuzzFeed News.

The Kremlin is sending Sergey Kislyak back to Russia amid the growing US, FBI and congressional investigations into Russia’s meddling in the US presidential election.

“He could use some time away,” a US-based diplomat told BuzzFeed.

Kislyak, who reportedly met Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn, will say his goodbyes at a fete July 11 at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington.
