Spotify’s pre-Grammy party a bust when speakers give out

Spotify wasn’t quite ready for prime-time on Thursday night.

As the music industry geared up for tonight’s Grammy Awards — with a raft of parties and jams — the world’s largest streamer played its part by hosting a mini-concert for some of the nominated best new artists.

Alessia Cara, Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, SZA and Julia Michaels each performed at the Skylight Clarkson Square.

But the party was interrupted when the speaker system blew out, The Post discovered.

The trouble began at the end of Lil Uzi Vert’s set, which was marred by loud, crackling, muffled sounds.

DJ Z-Trip distracted guests with old and new tracks, while the likes of Ansel Elgort, Jared Leto, Hailey Baldwin and Kim Petras danced in the crowd.

The problems appeared to be fixed by the time Michaels was up — but after her first song, the singer exited the stage so the technicians could once again tinker with the sound system. Michaels reemerged after roughly 20 minutes to complete her set.
