‘Game of Thrones’ drops new trailer for season 7

Dragons and Lannisters and Starks … hell yeah!

“Game of Thrones” fans are finally getting a full-throttled peak at the smash-hit show’s upcoming seventh season — after a brutal 11-month wait.

HBO released the trailer Wednesday, sending into a tizzy “GOT” diehards who’ve been waiting for the show to return since season six’s June 2016 finale — with a tease of all-out war among the seven kingdoms.

“The great war is here,” John Snow announces in no uncertain terms as the trailer ends.

“Enemies to the East. Enemies to the West. Enemies to the South. Enemies to the North. Whatever stands in our way, we will defeat it,” Queen Cersei Lannister can be heard saying.

The thump of marching soldiers beats a steady rhythm as the clip reveals Lannister legions advancing toward the unknown in battle regalia.

“I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms … and I will,” a defiant-sounding Daenerys Targaryen whispers amid scenes of dragons soaring over battlefields — an apparent hint at her return from exile.

Trailers from last year’s season six began airing in March of that year. But this year, HBO primed the hype machine even harder, teasing with a trickle of short clips — mainly recycled from previous seasons — and forcing diehard fans to wait an extra two months for their first real look into the upcoming season, which is set to premiere July 16.
