Brooklyn Flea is looking for a new home

The Brooklyn Flea is leaving East River State Park in Williamsburg and looking for a new home.

The popular flea market is using too much space, along with pop-up food fest Smorgasburg, said local residents and organizers of both events.

“It was clear there needed to be a change,” said Flea and Smorgasburg co-founder Eric Demby.

The flea, previously held in a Fort Greene lot, runs Saturdays April to October and draws thousands.

Demby said he’s looking into new locations and expects the Flea to reopen before summer’s end.

One neighbor, Alex Malloree, 27, hailed the departure, saying Saturdays are “too crowded” with people and “Ubers, bumper to bumper.”
