NFL giant found half-naked in field, asks police to shoot him

Buffalo Bills tackle Cyrus Kouandjio has a pretty good excuse for missing practice Thursday.

Police found the 23-year-old partially clothed in a field on the side of the highway Tuesday in Elma after he apparently had abandoned his car on the road.

When officers approached Kouandjio, he reportedly yelled, “Shoot me!”

The whole incident took place near the scene of an unrelated traffic collision, which shut down the highway for hours and sent a pregnant woman to the hospital in critical condition.

Kouandjio pulled off the road near the accident and climbed over an electric fence to reach the field where he was discovered, according to the police report.

Kouandjio, a 6-foot-7, 322-pounder beginning his third NFL season, was not arrested, but reportedly was taken to an area hospital for observation.

The bizarre circumstances are reminiscent of an incident last year in which former Patriots linebacker Chandler Jones showed up shirtless and disoriented at a police station, knelt down in prayer and asked officers for help.
