NYPD ‘patrol pig’ hams it up downtown

He’s New York’s Swinest.

This tiny porker oinked his way into the hearts of two NYPD cops on patrol in lower Manhattan.

Officer Grid Troci and another cop were outside the Apple Store in Soho when two people walked by with a pet pig on a bright red leash wearing an NYPD jacket.

The cops took the piglet’s leash and laughed about their new porcine pal.

The pig’s owners then asked Troci to pose for a picture — and he took the little guy in his hands and smiled wide.

Troci wasn’t the only swine swooner — the piglet was spotted in various Instagram photos taken by enamored New Yorkers who saw it walking around town.

Keeping a pet pig in a home is illegal in the city but it’s OK to walk it around.

The violation falls under the city’s health code, which police aren’t required to enforce.

Troci has worked as a Neighborhood Coordination Officer and is known for his work doing community policing.
