This Trump supporter wore a Mexico Wall costume to rally

He’s the Great Wall of Orlando.

One Donald Trump supporter so loves the idea of building a wall along the Mexico border, he attended a Florida rally for the GOP front-runner dressed up like one, including neck-to-ankle Spandex on which he’d drawn bricks in black marker.

Businessman Steve Travers, 61, also wore a “Trump Wall” hat and the words “Mexico will pay” across his chest, drawing so much attention at Saturday’s Orlando Trump rally that he says CNN asked him to get out of their camera shot.

“CNN asked me please would you move. I said I really don’t want to,” said Travers, as he stood behind the stage, one of 10,000 Trump fans in attendance.

“I like CNN, I like them… [but] I’m getting all the action.”
Asked why he supports the wall, Travers said it’s because of his concerns about both illegal immigrants and terrorists.

The former US Marine added that his family has emigrated legally from Ireland, through Ellis Island.

“They did it the right way. Why can’t people do it the right way?” he asked.

Like Trump, Travers is a businessman – he says he’s owned 29 businesses in his life, including Volkswagen and Chrysler dealerships.

He says his experience would make him a great addition to a Trump administration.

“I could run the United States with him,” said Travers, of Tampa Bay. “I’d be more than happy to be his assistant – I’m a hell of a negotiator.”

At the rally, Trump repeated the call-and-response he traditionally uses to fire his fans up about the wall – which he insists Mexico will pay for.

“We will build the wall, don’t worry. We will build the wall,” said Trump. “And who’s going to pay for the wall?”

“Mexico!” the crowd shouted.

“Who?” Trump bellowed.

“Mexico!” the crowd shouted.

“You better believe it,” Trump said.
