Was Kellyanne Conway raised in a barn?

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway has been ridiculed for making herself at home in the Oval Office, where she was photographed kneeling on a sofa.

A snapshot shows the office packed with representatives of historically black colleges and universities — with Conway appearing to be oblivious to her surroundings, feet neatly tucked under her tiny frame, as she takes a picture with her phone.

“@AFP such a classy way to sit in the Oval Office.. KellyAnne clearly was not taught how to sit properly in a dress,” said Twitter user @MissMaggie1971.
“Kellyanne Conway. Always a lady and showing respect for the Oval Office,” @JeremyPond added in a tweet that has since been deleted.

The Wall Street Journal’s Bret Stephens, tweeting as @StephensWSJ, wrote, “If Rice or Jarrett had sat like this in Oval Office conservatives would have screamed themselves hoarse for weeks. Now we own trashy.”

It’s not the first time Conway has landed in controversy.

Last month, she came under fire for making a reference to two Iraqi refugees as the “masterminds” behind “the Bowling Green massacre” while defending President Trump’s travel ban.

But there was no terror-inspired massacre in Bowling Green, Ky. Conway said she misspoke.

She also raised eyebrows when she said the Trump administration was using “alternative facts” when questioned about the veracity of debunked White House statements.
