‘Hannity’ fans boycott Keurig for pulling ads over Moore coverage

Single-serving coffee-maker Keurig is in hot water with “Hannity” fans.

Users bitter the Vermont company has pulled its ads from Sean Hannity’s TV show are calling for a boycott and even smashing their devices on video.

“I pulled an ‘Office Space’ with my Keurig…” tweeted New Jersey Marines veteran and life coach John Angelo Gage, along with a video of him taking a hammer to his Keurig in a nod to the 1999 Mike Judge flick. “ Would be a shame if everyone else joined me in the Keurig Smash Challenge #BoycottKeurig #IStandWithHannity #SundayMorning”

The company stopped running ads during Hannity’s 9 p.m. timeslot on Fox News channel after he defended Senate candidate Roy Moore amid allegations Moore routinely pursued romantic relationships with underage girls.

Moore, who is running in a December special election for one of Alabama’s seats in the nation’s upper house, allegedly fondled a 14-year-old girl when he was a 32-year-old assistant district attorney in the 1970s. Several other women have come forward accusing him of pursuing untoward relationships with them while they were teens — all allegations Moore has called “fake news.”

Hannity has suggested on his radio show that Moore’s accusers were brewing up falsehoods.

“So, there’s politics in all of this. Then you have false allegations that are made, and you know — how do you determine? It’s “He said, she [said],” he said on Thursday. “I just — I don’t know how you find out the truth.”

That steamed Hannity and Moore’s critics, who demanded on social media that Keurig drop Hannity.

“We worked with our media partner and FOX news to stop our ad from airing during the Sean Hannity Show,” the company tweeted to critics Saturday.

But the move garnered splashback from Hannity supporters, who did not take the news well Sunday.

“@Keurig I just want you to know that my family owns five Keurig’s, each one was just thrown out. good job listening to Lib lunatics who don’t even have jobs. #BoycottKeurig,” tweeted user @RosaleeShawn.

Other companies to drop Hannity include genetic-testing service 23andme, fashion company ELOQUII, vitamin-maker Nature’s Bounty, and real estate website realtor.com.

Keurig did not respond to a request for comment.
