Parks Department slips Drake meme into rendering

Hip hop superstar Drake went from “rolling blunts with his list of regrets” to rolling down a wheelchair ramp in a surprising rendering that is part of a Brooklyn park renovation plan.

The Grammy-winning rapper — who played the wheelchair bound character Jimmy in the teen drama “Degrassi” — appears on an entrance ramp to Fort Greene Park deep in the Parks Department proposal.

The image of Drake’s “Degrassi” character became a popular meme when the artist’s music career took off and internet trolls superimposed his lyrics onto the photo.

How he ended up in a Parks Department rendering remained a mystery Tuesday night.

When reached for comment, an agency spokesman got in on the act and responded with modified lyrics and album titles from the rapper’s discography.

“Started at the bottom of Fort Greene Park’s signature hill, now we’re here with the final design, which takes care to create a more welcoming park entrance – with improved views,” spokesman Sam Biederman wrote in an email.

The entrance ramp rendering appears on the page 52 of a 59-slide presentation released by the Department on Tuesday.

The infamous photo of Drake as “wheelchair Jimmy” was spread across the internet with renditions of popular Drake lyrics such as “Last name walk/ first name never.”

The character lost use of his legs when he was tragically shot by a deranged student in a school shooting on “Degrassi: The Next Generation.”

The Drake Parks rendering, which also shows rapper Akon laughing in the foreground, was first discovered by the website Brokelyn.

Akon, a singer who appeared on a track with the rapper, had an opportunity to sign the artist as a young man but opted out.

A spokesperson for Drake did not comment on the artist’s surprise appearance.
