Man plays piano in Harvey-flooded home

In the midst of disastrous flood-waters, this Texan was able to find solace in a piano.

Houston pastor Aric Harding was captured in a poignant online video playing piano in a living room filled with knee-high-deep flood-waters from Tropical Storm Harvey.

Harding, who had a friend film the clip, a Houston resident who evacuated with his family, posted the tear-jerker video to Instagram Wednesday after having returned to his inundated home to grab his children’s “favorite stuffed animals.”

“I went back to our street today because as you guys have probably seen the water has come back with a vengeance. I hope this was its high point. I grabbed the kids’ favorite stuffed animals that we had left behind and a couple of games to keep the kids occupied,” Harding wrote in a caption to the video.

“I think it’s all finally sinking in a little. What we used to have going as a city is gone. I really think God is going to do something completely new here. I am excited to see the new beauty in the suffering,” Harding continued.

Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas Friday as a Category 4 storm, displacing tens of thousands of people and killing at least 37.
