Trump will ‘totally accept’ election result — if he wins

Donald Trump said Thursday he’s prepared to respect the wishes of the American electorate — if they make him the next president.

“I will totally accept the results of this great and historic presidential election — if I win,” the Republican presidential candidate told a rally in Delaware, Ohio.

Trump didn’t make clear what he’d do if he loses.

The issue of whether Trump will accept the results of the presidential election grabbed the headlines from Wednesday night’s third and final presidential debate.

“I’ll look at it at the time,” Trump told moderator Chris Wallace.

“What I’ve seen is so bad. The media is so dishonest and so corrupt and the pile-on is so amazing. I think the voters are seeing through it. I’ll tell you at the time. I’ll keep you in suspense, OK?” Trump added.

Running mate Mike Pence echoed that message Thursday on NBC.

“If the vote is fair, I’m confident that we’ll accept” it, the Indiana governor said.
