Drunk beauty consultant dies after five-story fall

A married woman who was on the roof of her Midtown apartment building with her lover fell to her death while wearing only her underwear Sunday morning, authorities said.

Elena Gladkikh, 27, was five stories up when she fell off the ledge of 449 W. 37th St. at about 8:30 a.m., according to law enforcement sources.

The Russian-born beauty consultant for Mary Kay cosmetics was with her boyfriend when they got locked on the roof and she had to call her husband to let her in, the sources said.

Before the husband made it upstairs from their apartment, Gladkikh accidentally fell, landing on the pavement in a narrow alley between two buildings near 10th Avenue, according to the sources.

“She had no clothing on, just a brassiere and panties,” said James Proctor, 52, a porter at a nearby building, who witnessed the aftermath.

The woman’s guy pal — who was hiding on the roof while Gladkikh waited on the ledge for her husband — had to give him the tragic news.

Firefighters rushed to the scene, Proctor said.

“The Fire Department showed up and asked to borrow my ladder,’’ he said. “They said someone was trapped somewhere.”

Rescuers emerged from the alley a few minutes later with Gladkikh strapped to a stretcher, he said.

She was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she died.

Gladkikh’s date told cops he met her at a restaurant where she bartended part-time. He said she was already drunk when they went to watch the sun rise on the rooftop with a six-pack of beer, sources said.

There were no immediate signs of criminality or suicide, police said. A medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

Gladkikh’s friends and family were heartbroken over the tragedy.

“She is the sweetest, the most responsible, the most generous and kind, giving person I knew,” said Ellie Calvin, a co-worker at Mary Kay. “I cannot believe God could take her away. She is just an angel.’’

Gladkikh’s distraught husband said he was scrambling to get in touch with her relatives abroad.

“This is a bad time. My family is here and we’re contacting her family overseas,” he told The Post, without giving his name.
