Hillary Clinton’s campaign on Sunday demanded debate moderator Lester Holt fact-check Donald Trump during their faceoff.
“All that we’re asking is that if Donald Trump lies, that it’s pointed out,” campaign manager Robby Mook told ABC’s “This Week.”
“It’s unfair to ask that Hillary Clinton both play traffic cop with Trump . . . and also present her vision for what she wants to do for the American people.”
But Janet Brown, executive director of the Commission on Presidential Debates, told CNN, “I don’t think it’s a good idea to get the moderator into essentially serving as the Encyclopedia Britannica.”
