Model sues for $5M over bad haircut

That’s a lot of money for a bad haircut!

A struggling model wants $5 million from a celebrity stylist who accidentally nicked her neck during a hair cutting demonstration at the Jacob Javits Center in March.

Freelance model Michelle Kalinkina, who moonlights as a vintage wardrobe stylist, was at the Javits Center on March 7 with stylist Martino Cartier.

Cartier, whose stylings have been featured in Vogue and at the Golden Globes, was rushing through a public demonstration using Kalinkina as his model when he accidentally cut her neck with his shears, according to the Manhattan federal court suit.

Kalinkina is suing claiming the injury has left her with a visible scar.

The 5-foot-10-inch blonde says the stylist’s recklessness caused her “pain, shock and mental anguish.”

Cartier, who has salons in Sewell and Cherry Hill, NJ, declined to comment through a rep.

Kalinkina’s attorney did not return messages for comment.
