Giuliani: Clinton wasn’t in New York City on 9/11

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday called out Hillary Clinton for suggesting she was in New York on 9/11 — and social media critics responded with pictures that show her next to him at Ground Zero a day later.

Clinton was in Washington, DC, on 9/11. She visited lower Manhattan the next day — with Giuliani.

Giuliani conceded that Clinton helped score benefits for 9/11 first responders, but still chastised the then-New York senator for not being in the five boroughs on that horrible day.

“Yes, you helped to get benefits for the people that were injured that day,” Giuliani told a Donald Trump rally in Ocala, Fla.

“But I heard her say one day she was there that day. I was there that day. I don’t remember seeing Hillary Clinton there.”

Giuliani’s attack might not hold up — because for years, Clinton has consistently said she wasn’t in New York on that day.

In a CNN 9/11 special aired last month on the 15th anniversary, Clinton spoke in great detail about her Sept. 11 experience — specifically on how it looked from her vantage point in Washington, DC.

Clinton caught one of the few planes allowed to fly out of Washington on Sept. 12. She headed straight to New York and visited lower Manhattan, escorted by then-Mayor Giuliani.
