Alleged drunk driver crashes into museum dedicated to Hollywood breakups

This woman’s relationship — with her car — just crashed and burned.

A suspected drunk driver smashed her Audi sedan into the Museum of Broken Relationships in Hollywood on Monday afternoon, according to ABC 7 Los Angeles.

The erratic driver plowed into two pedestrians walking down Hollywood Boulevard around 3 p.m. before the front of her luxury car into the corner of the building, narrowly avoiding the glass entrance.

Photos show the busted hood of the black Audi lodged in the museum with chunks of the building scattered all over the sidewalk.

The broken-up driver fled the scene on foot, but was arrested shortly after on suspicion of driving while under the influence and hit-and-run, police said.

Both of the women walking on the street were taken to a local hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

The museum opened earlier this year and features items from people who recently went through a breakup.

“The Museum’s concept was born when an artist ex-couple in the midst of their own breakup wondered what people did with objects that had been meaningful in their relationship,” a description on the museum’s site said.
