A man filming himself playing Pokémon Go near Central Park wound up filming his own mugging.
Video of the incident, captured on the victim’s livestream and first posted by Gothamist, shows the 43-year-old man walking on Central Park South near Sixth Avenue — and teasing himself as “a lazy Pokémon player” — around 12:20 a.m. Monday when the mugger comes up from behind and attacks.
The thug strikes the man hard in the back of the head, sending him tumbling to the ground, before grabbing the victim’s three cellphones as the player pleads, “No, no, no, no, please.”
The victim suffered a small cut on his head and a swollen right cheek. He refused medical attention.
Cops say the suspect is about 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a black shirt and red shorts.
