Trump can’t resist going after ‘very little’ Bloomberg

Donald Trump said he thought about going after Mike Bloomberg — “a very little guy” — so hard “his head would spin” to get even for his speech at the Democratic convention where the ex-mayor described him as a “dangerous demagogue.”

Addressing a rally in Davenport Iowa, Trump joked that he was biting his tongue in swinging back at several convention speakers who tore into him at the Democratic confab.

The harshest comments came from Bloomberg, who question Trump’s business practices, leadership skills and even his mental stability.

“Let’s elect a sane, competent person,” Bloomberg said, while endorsing Democrat Hillary Clinton.

He said a Republican governor urged him to focus his fire instead on Clinton.

But the blunt-speaking Trump couldn’t resist venting.

“I was going to hit one guy, in particular a very little guy. I was going to hit this guy so hard his head would spin. He wouldn’t know what the hell happened,” Trump said, in a clear reference to the diminutive former New York City mayor.

Trump said he was particularly surprised, given he had worked on projects with the Bloomberg administration, including the public Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in The Bronx.

“He came out of nowhere, They made deals with me. `Would you make this deal and solve the problem?’ I solve the problem and do a great job,” Trump said.

The usually unfettered Trump never uttered his fellow billionaire’s name.
