Washington cops investigated a mysterious “white substance” that was sent to the building housing Barack Obama’s DC office — but it turned out to be baby powder and wasn’t addressed to the ex-president.
DC Fire and EMS Battalion Chief Edward Smith told Fox 5 TV that the letter was mailed to the World Wildlife Fund, which owns the building and has its headquarters there, from Hong Kong. It had no return address.
The incident was reported around 12:30 p.m. at 1250 24th St. in Northwest, DC.
Obama has leased space at the building since leaving office in January 2017.
Traffic was reportedly heavy in the vicinity as emergency responders arrived.
The incident came one day after Donald Trump Jr.’s wife was taken to a New York hospital after a letter containing a white powder was sent to her Sutton Place pad.
