Victoria Beckham’s ‘days of worrying’ are over despite eyewear backlash

Victoria Beckham looks stunning as she poses in a nude leotard for a very sexy cover shoot for Vogue Spain.

The 42-year-old looked sultry as she posed on top of a wooden table for the dimly lit shoot, which was called, “For the love of art.”

Teasing three images from the shoot, it seems Victoria was candid in her interview with the fashion magazine too, revealing how over 20 years in the public eye has taught her not to care what people think.

The magazine’s Instagram account captioned the shots, with the quote: “I have grown up in public since I was 19-year-old, my days of worrying what people think I left behind.”

In a second picture the mum-of-four poses in a striking red dress and once again shows off her toned legs thanks to the hip-high splits.

And in another she looks every inch the ballet dancer in a white leotard, with a light blue sweater and blue heels.

VB’s high-end shoot comes a day after Piers Morgan lashed out at her for using a “too skinny” model for her eyewear range.

The outspoken Good Morning Britain host delivered a scathing attack on Victoria’s choice of model for her campaign, writing that Lithuanian Giedre Dukauskaite, 29, looked emaciated and painfully thing.

Writing in his latest column for Mail Online, he fumed: “This photograph made me feel physically sick, and judging by the eruption of opprobrium that greeted it online, I’m far from alone in this view.”

Piers goes on to suggest, Victoria sanctioned the model in the shoot because she herself is slim.

Adding: “Regardless, this is a horribly cynical, commercially ruthless, and morally reprehensible decision by someone who should, and does, know better.”

“Shame on you, Victoria Beckham.”

Twitter users were equally as angry, responding to Victoria’s promotional tweet by writing: “This kind of advertising is extremely irresponsible and is an insult to women everywhere. Being thin and emaciated should not be anyone’s objective. It is degrading, insulting and extremely dangerous. #respectyourbody

“Whether this model is naturally thin or not, you have chosen her. That is irresponsible and unworthy of so prominent a designer. Public feeling is not with you on this.

“Using a more realistically sized model in between the sizes you sell would be less offensive to either the smaller sized lady or the larger sized lady. Judging by the tweets most people are shocked at the size of your model natural or not x

“Please remove this picture. I don’t want my young nieces seeing this, and thinking it’s how they should look. Unhealthily skinny, and gaunt. You need to be more aware of what you are posting, and the impact it has on your young and impressionable audience.”

The Sun Online has contacted representatives for Victoria and Gierdre for comment.
