Philly tries to save its city from Eagles fans

The streets of Philadelphia are suddenly … greasy.
Crews working with the city of brotherly love were sent out Sunday morning to slather cooking oil on light poles to prevent Eagles fans climbing on them after the NFC championship game.
The crews dubbed themselves the “Crisco Cops” and laughed as they went from pole to pole in the downtown area, greasing up the lower halves.
As Eagles fans become excited this week about the possibility of being in Super Bowl LII, Philadelphia cops warned businesses around the stadium to take anything inside they don’t want destroyed in case of a victory.

The city has also banned parking on South Broad Street.
It’s the third time the city greased its poles to prevent crazed sports fans from climbing them: It was done before the Phillies won the 2008 World Series and again in 2009 before the baseball team clinched the National League pennant.
