Blake Bortles’ face shows how much Brady crushed Jaguars

The Jaguars’ fairy-tale season came to a crushing end Sunday night in Foxborough, Mass.

After an injured Tom Brady led New England to a 24-20 victory over Jacksonville in the AFC Championship, Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles was spotted with what appeared to be a tear streaming down his cheek.

Bortles went 23-for-36 for 293 yards and one touchdown. Despite an interception-free game, the Jaguars couldn’t hang on to the lead against the experienced Brady, who, despite that hand injury and a Rob Gronkowski-less second half, managed to rally and punch his ticket to another Super Bowl.

“I didn’t know that on Wednesday, it was a crazy injury. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday were a little scary and then started gaining some confidence,” Brady said, via Pro Football Talk. “Today, we did just enough to win.”

And Bortles and the Jaguars just enough to lose, another season ending sadly for the much-mocked quarterback.

But both Bortles and the Jaguars had defied expectations this year, claiming the team’s first AFC South title in 18 seasons.
