Trump to head to Mar-a-Lago fundraiser amid shutdown fears

President Trump is traveling to his Florida estate of Mar-a-Lago on Friday to host a six-figure fundraiser as Capital Hill lurches toward a government shutdown, a report said Thursday night.

Trump’s private club is advertising a celebration for the first anniversary of his inauguration with ticket prices starting at $100,000, according to Bloomberg Politics.

For the price of just $250,000, the couple can participate in a roundtable discussion with the president.

Current funding for the government is set to expire on Friday. The Senate has been trying to work on legislation to keep paying the bills.
