Mets manager Terry Collins hospitalized

MILWAUKEE — Terry Collins was taken to a local hospital Sunday for tests, after feeling ill during pregame at Miller Park.

Bench coach Dick Scott was set to step in and manage the Mets for their game against the Brewers.

Collins, 67, was advised by a team doctor and trainer Ray Ramirez to leave for the hospital after encountering unspecified symptoms.

“Afterwards he was feeling OK,” assistant general manager John Ricco said. “But we’re just kind of being cautious here.”
