Josh Norman rages over Odell Beckham, Deion Sanders with renewed shots

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Odell Beckham Jr. is still crazy after all these weeks to Josh Norman.

The Panthers’ brash cornerback said he continues to shake his head in dismay at Beckham for the Giants star’s antics in their infamously physical showdown at MetLife Stadium last month.

“Shoot, that man’s crazy,” Norman said during the NFL’s Super Bowl Opening Night media event at the SAP Center. “You all saw it.”

Norman was responding to a question from The Post about whether he feels his reputation took an unfair hit from his game-long battle — both verbal and physical — with Beckham in that Week 15 contest.

Apparently enraged at some pregame comments by the Panthers, Beckham received three personal fouls in the 38-35 Carolina victory and later was suspended one game by the NFL for taking a running dive at Norman’s head.

Norman, whose team faces the Broncos in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, said he remains proud of his self-restraint in the face of Beckham’s antics.

“It definitely could have been a different story,” Norman said.

“I told Coach [Ron Rivera] to take me out of the game, man, because I couldn’t be in there with that.”

Norman also jousted verbally Monday night with Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders over the Beckham situation when the NFL Network analyst tried to interview Norman during the Panthers’ media session.

Norman is still upset at Sanders for defending Beckham and apparently wanted no part of an effort by Sanders to broker peace between Norman and Beckham after the game.

Norman began by shutting off Sanders’ initial attempt at friendly banter — “Man, what you think we got going on?” Norman said — then blasted Sanders to his face for applauding Beckham’s actions on the air.

“At the same time, I felt like you had his back on his stuff,” Norman told Sanders in front of a crowd of reporters. “You said something like, if he was your son, you would have [given] him props and [said] ‘Go out and do your thing.’

“This man ran 10 yards at me full speed like he was trying to take me out or something. That’s something you’re going to pat on the back and be like, ‘Good job!’?”

Sanders responded by telling Norman that he was also proud of Norman for how he handled the situation, but Norman didn’t accept his pseudo-apology. Sanders left Norman’s podium shortly afterward.
