Mayor de Blasio took a swipe at Donald Trump on Wednesday for revoking The Washington Post’s press privileges at his events — and gave himself a pat on the back for allowing the New York Post to attend his own news conferences.
“It’s ludicrous,” de Blasio said at a Brooklyn press conference, when asked about Trump’s decision. “I don’t always get along with the New York Post, but they get to sit right there like everyone else.”
Trump announced Monday he was yanking The Washington Post’s press credentials because of its “incredibly inaccurate” coverage. He said later that he wouldn’t institute such bans if elected president.
