Kristen Wiig really Manning-ed up.
The comedy star showed up on “The Tonight Show” Thursday in a bit of an unusual outfit. She came fully decked out in the No. 18 uniform of Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.
She even donned a blond Wiig — er, wig — to complete the look.
As host Jimmy Fallon questioned the football star, it quickly became clear that Wiig didn’t know a thing about the Super Bowl, Manning, football or possibly any sports on the planet.
“The final seconds of the Super Bowl, they’re ticking away, and what are you thinking?” the host queried.
“I’m thinking,” Wiig began before a long pause.
“Uh, I’m so far from the line. I’m far away from the line and I have to get it to…” she continued before trailing off, as Fallon went into one of his trademark laughter convulsions.
Later, “Manning” was asked where he went to college, and he must have done too many beer bongs at the frat house, because he thought he went to the University of Florida, not Tennessee.
For the grand finale, the QB showed off his legendary arm by tossing a gold football at a target. The ball sailed high and left — a misfire more fitting for that other Super Bowl quarterback, Cam Newton.
