K-9 officer sues TSA after security job goes to younger hires

A veteran Long Island K-9 cop claims he was passed over for a security job at Kennedy Airport because he’s an older white man.

Gregory McKeon, 62, says in a lawsuit against the TSA that he was by far the best candidate for the job, which involves inspecting cargo with help from police dogs.

McKeon has been an officer with the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit for more than 20 years.

“His qualification greatly exceed[ed] those of any other applicant who was in contention for the position,” he charges in the Brooklyn federal court lawsuit.

But two internal candidates were hired instead; both were younger, one was a woman, and neither matched his level of experience, McKeon argues.

He wants a judge to force the TSA to give him the job, as well as back pay, benefits and $300,000 in damages.

The TSA declined to comment on the litigation.
