Rookie cop has her teeth knocked out

A rookie cop’s teeth were knocked out by a thug she had caught smoking pot at an East Harlem housing development early Sunday, police said.

The 26-year-old uniformed officer and her partner were on patrol when they walked through the rear entrance of the Clinton Houses on Park Avenue near East 105th Street at around 1:30 a.m., cops said.

They saw three men and one woman smoking marijuana on the first floor and moved in to make an arrest.

One of the suspects hit the cop in the mouth and slammed her head on the floor, taking out several teeth and breaking several others.

All four suspects ran off, and no arrests have been made. No video surveillance has been found.

The cop was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital for emergency dental surgery, authorities said.

She also suffered cuts to her face and head pain.

The victim and her partner were assigned to Operation Impact, where officers are placed as soon as they get out of the Police Academy to patrol high-crime areas.
