‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ stages mini ‘Friends’ reunion

It must be the ’90s — because suddenly “Friends” is everywhere again.

On the same day that Warner Bros. announced it was opening a pop-up replica of the “Friends” coffeehouse Central Perk in New York City in honor of the 20th anniversary of the show’s premiere, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” staged a mini reunion of the NBC sitcom’s cast.

Jennifer Aniston was a guest on “JKL” Wednesday night, and the late-night host cajoled her into reading lines from some “Friends” fan fiction he wrote, with him playing the part of Ross.

Kimmel goes so far as to build an exact replica of the “Friends” kitchen on set, and brings in Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow to read as their characters Monica and Phoebe.

Aniston visibly cringes through most of the seven-minute scene about how good Kimmel-as-Ross is at making love, refuses to wear a Rachel wig and complains about the stupid dialogue.

“Is it dumber than living in a huge apartment in New York City for eight years, even though you work at a coffee shop?” he retorts.

Touche, Kimmel, touche.
