Super Mario ‘granny groper’ a no-show in court

An accused Super Mario granny-groper was a no-show in Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday — prompting a judge to order a bench warrant.

Damon Torres is charged with forcible touching for allegedly feeling up a New Jersey grandma’s inner thigh in December while dressed as the lovable Italian superhero in Times Square.

Torres, 36, also faces two violations for harassment and marijuana possession.

Torres’s lawyer David Smiley said he’s made every other court appearance — except for one in April, which he missed because of a “serious medical condition.”

Smiley said he spoke to Torres about Wednesday’s date.

“I’m usually in pretty regular contact with him, so I was kind of surprised,” he said. “Maybe he just forgot the dates or something.”
