Stephen Green files lawsuit against Trump World Tower

Trump World Tower residents are trying to force out real-estate honcho Stephen Green — who slapped the condo with a slip-and-fall lawsuit, The Post has learned.

Green, head of SL Green Realty Corp., which owns 74 properties in the metro area, slipped on wet marble outside of the gym last October and blamed the spill on a cleaning lady who failed to put up a caution sign after mopping, court papers show.

The 76-year-old, who is the brother of former Public Advocate Mark Green, says he was “both physically and mentally” injured, according to his Manhattan civil suit, without going into detail.

But neighbors and board members blasted the real-estate titan’s decision to slap them with a surprise suit, claiming Green never tried to settle the matter out of court.

“For a man of his supposed financial means to bring a frivolous action against his own building and neighbors for his own clumsiness is both petty and stupid,” huffed attorney and board treasurer Michael Cohen.

Green made $5.4 million last year, according to Forbes.

Trump World Tower board president George Sorial added, “He should just move out of the building, because no one likes him anyway.”

Both men say that they believe the suit is bogus.

Cohen said Green’s suit will be an unnecessary drain on condo resources after the members worked hard to reduce common charges.

“It’s disloyal and disrespectful,” he fumed.

Green’s attorney and his spokesman both declined to comment.
