Danny McBride is back on HBO.
The “Eastbound & Down” star is returning to the network in the new comedy series “Vice Principals,” which tells the story of a high school “and the people who almost run it.”
“Vice Principals” is slated for 18 episodes, with the number of episodes per season and premiere date to be announced at a later date.
McBride created the new comedy with Jody Hill, his co-creator on “Eastbound & Down.”
That show, which starred McBride as former major league pitcher Kenny Powers, ended its four-season run last year.
“HBO was the perfect creative family for ‘Eastbound & down, and we’re excited to pack up the van for the next adventure,” McBride said in a statement.
