Brooklyn

A gunman killed a Bedford-Stuyvesant resident just steps from where the victim accidently shot himself last year amid a street-corner confrontation, police sources told The Post.

Tony Hinton, 21, was shot dead at Patchen and Lexington avenues at 4:26 a.m. Friday, sources said.

The gunman then jumped into a dark SUV and sped off, the sources said.

Hinton, a Putnam Avenue resident, was pronounced dead at Woodhull Hospital.

It was unclear what triggered the violence.

In the earlier shooting, Hinton was arguing with a foe in the same area when Hinton pulled a handgun and accidentally shot himself in the left arm, sources said.

Police do not believe the man with whom Hinton had been arguing last year was involved in the latest shooting, law-enforcement authorities say.
