Officials bust drug ring making deliveries in luxury cars

A text-to-toke drug operation that used luxury cars to make home deliveries to yuppies looking to feed their fix throughout the five boroughs was busted Thursday, court documents revealed.

The modern-day drug delivery network, which pushed about $10,000 a day of club-favorite drugs like Molly and mushrooms, used text messages to deliver to hundreds of clients doorsteps — ranging from 20-somethings to white-collar workers — using a fleet of the big boss’s BMW sedans and Land Rovers.

“Law enforcement is targeting all levels of drug distributors, from door to door delivery services to international cartels to drug transportation networks so we can cut off the supply before it reaches our doors,” said James Hunt, head of the New YA text-to-toke drug operation that used luxury cars to make home deliveries to yuppies looking to feed their fix throughout the five boroughs was busted Thursday, court documents revealed.

Six dealers were arrested including the ring leader, Nunzio Gentille, who operated the drug service out of Brooklyn, according to a criminal complaint filed in Manhattan Criminal Court. Gentille paid his drivers in cash to peddle half ounces of exotic weed for $200, party-popping Molly pills for $20 and $65 for a bag of psychedelic ‘shrooms. Liquid strains of marijuana, which boast a higher THC potency, were also on the menu for $30 to $50.

Clients looking to score some cocaine could only hit up Gentille’s service, which went by “Handsome Carl” or “Basic Landscaping,” on the weekends.
“Do you have coke?” one client texted one of the dealers. “Only fri sat sun,” he texted back.

Three of Gentille’s drivers — Bolivar Vasquez, 23, Dawid Iwaszek, 24, and Kyle Eschner, 27 — were arrested as part of a DEA investigation into his operation that started this January. Michael Maldonaldo, 29, who served as Gentille’s right-hand man, was also picked up as part of the sting as was Josette Lebron, 26. All five men could face jail time for various drug charges including possession with intent to sell a controlled substance and conspiracy to distribute.

On June 16, an undercover agent conducted a routine traffic stop that led to the search of Vasquez’s car after the agents discovered a “strong odor of marihuana from within the vehicle.”

They found a hidden compartment, or a “trap,” win his passenger seat with 37 vials of Molly, dozens of bags of hash and ‘shrooms, the complaint said.ork Office of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
