UK rockers Elbow hit Webster Hall

Elbow room

In their native UK, Manchester band Elbow plays to arenas, and their affable, bear-like singer Guy Garvey is regarded as a national treasure. So their show at Webster Hall will be a rare chance to hear songs from their critically lauded new album, “The Take Off and Landing of Everything,” from within touching distance. If you have friends across the pond, this is the perfect time to make them green with envy.

Friday, 7 p.m., 125 E. 11th St.; Tickets $45; websterhall.com.

While George Harrison gently sleeps (he passed on in 2001), one of his iconic guitars is up for bid Saturday — and Julien’s Auctions expects to get as much as $600,000 for it. Harrison bought the 1962 Rickenbacker 425 guitar in Illinois in 1963, while visiting his sister Louise, and it’s the one he played when The Beatles recorded “I Want to Hold Your Hand.” Bid at the Times Square Hard Rock Cafe (1501 Broadway), where the guitar is on display.

Take a taste

With so many choices in NYC, it can be difficult to choose where and what to eat. Maybe that’s why this weekend’s Ninth Avenue International Food Festival is so popular that it’s in its 41st year. It’s easy to graze at the dozens of different ethnic restaurants, food stands and snack bars along Ninth Avenue between 42nd and 57th streets.

Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Rain or shine.

Ferry funny

Fresh from being feted at the American Comedy Awards with an honor named for Johnny Carson, Bill Cosby is headed to . . . Staten Island. The veteran funnyman brings his Far From Finished tour to the St. George Theatre Friday at 8 p.m. 35 Hyatt St. (near the ferry).

Tickets from $45; stgeorgetheatre.com.

Step right up

No need to pay top dollar to see some fine dancers in the city. More than 10,000 steppers are expected to conga, chacha, twist and just move from Broadway and 21st Street to Tompkins Square Park for the Eighth Annual New York Dance Parade & Festival, kicking off Saturday at 1 p.m.
