Gordon Ramsay heads to the Applegate River Lodge in Applegate, Ore., home to some of the Northwest’s most stunning views. Joanna and Richard Davis designed and built the lodge by hand 22 years ago, but since their divorce it has gone down the toilet. Instead of focusing on their enormous debt and unhappy guests, the ex-couple and their two sons put emphasis on their growing hatred for each other, causing the property to be as divided as ever. Can Ramsay save the lodge? Please say yes.

2. The Knick

In 1900, John W. Thackery (Clive Owen), a brilliant doctor with a weakness for the nose candy, ascends to the role of chief surgeon of New York’s Knickerbocker Hospital after his mentor, J.M. Christiansen (Matt Frewer), unexpectedly leaves the planet. Though Thackery wants Everett Gallinger (Eric Johnson), his own protégé, as his assistant, Cornelia Robertson (Juliet Rylance), daughter of the hospital’s major benefactor, insists he hire Algernon Edwards (André Holland), a talented black doctor who trained in London and Paris. Edwards encounters resentment on his first day at the Knick, but his desire to remain prevails after joining Thackery, Gallinger, Dr. Bertram Chickering Jr. (Michael Angarano) and Nurse Lucy Elkins (Eve Hewson) in the operating theater for a daring surgical procedure. Not for the squeamish.

Alert the media: Theresa Caputo is leaving Long Island. Throughout the entire season of “Long Island Medium,” viewers will have a chance to win a reading from Theresa in their own homes. Meanwhile, the Caputo clan gets a bit smaller when Larry Jr. finally leaves the nest, but can Theresa convince him to make an honest woman out of girlfriend Leah before he moves out of the house? On the health front, as Theresa starts to realize that the back half of her 40s isn’t always fabulous, her doctor advises her to schedule a routine colonoscopy. Believing that it’s better to be safe than sorry, Theresa agrees and quickly becomes the butt of her husband’s jokes.

He’s back this summer in “Partners,” a labor of labor from FX. Grammer stars as corporate reject Allen Braddock, an elitist lawyer who’s just been fired from his father’s firm. In true TV fashion, he finds himself in the courtroom with his . . . polar opposite! Marcus Jackson (Martin Lawrence) is a kind-hearted community activist going through a heartbreaking divorce. Brought together by desperation, they develop a partnership and friendship.
