Gunman opens fire on cyclist

A gunman is wanted for opening fire on a bicyclist in East New York, police said Tuesday.

The cyclist had been chatting with a group of people before taking off and peddling west on Pitkin Avenue around 2:25 p.m. Monday, sources said.

The gunman was nearby at the corner of Pitkin Avenue and Wyona Street and was caught on video grabbing his gun from his back pocket.

The suspect is staring into the street before charging forward gun in hand, the video shows.

He raised the gun and fired at the biker who is out of the frame. He fired off several rounds but missed the biker, sources said.
